Programme in January and February

Lunchtime Concerts on February 3rd and 10th

The Iceland Symphony Orchestra had to postpone or cancel its planned concerts in January and February due to the state of the pandemic. However, we are pleased to announce that the orchestra will reunite and give two lunchtime concerts in coming weeks, Wagner and Mozart on Thursday February 3rd and Mozart and Beethoven on Thursday February 10th.

Admission to the concert, which is about fifty minutes long without intermission, is free, but it is necessary to register for tickets to the concert, which will begin next week.

As has been stated, it was inevitable to postpone or cancel the band's concerts and events that were originally scheduled for January and February due to the state of the epidemic. Information about the concerts that was postponed in January; Vienna concerts, Young Soloists and Shostakovich and Barber, are expected soon.

The following concerts are either postponed or cancelled:

  • Viennese Concert, January 6th, 7th and 8th - postponed
  • Young Soloists, January 13th - postponed
  • Shostakovich and Barber, January 20th - postponed
  • Journey Without Destination, January 27th - cancelled
  • Bára and Gunnar Andreas, January 28th - cancelled
  • The Adventure of the Magic Flute, February 12th - cancelled
  • Die Walküre, February 24th and 26th - cancelled


Tickets to postponed concerts will be valid for new dates and ticket holders who wish to keep their tockets need not take any further action. If you wish to have your tickets refunded,please contact Harpa's box office at midasala@harpa.is.

All tickets to cancelled concerts will be automatically refunded in full, if they were paid for by card via web sales. In other cases, or if any questions arise with regard to the tickets reimbursement, please contact Harpa's box office at midasala@harpa.is.
