Justyna Bidler

Justyna Anna Bidler was born in 1991 in Poland to a family of musicians. She started her violin education at the age of 5 in the Public Music School in her hometown, Piotrków Trybunalski, in the class of Tomasz Guz. After graduation she continued her education with prof. Marcin Baranowski at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz and at the Academy of Music in Poznań. At those universities she completed her bachelor's and master's degrees, receiving both diplomas with highest grades.

She has participated also in many masterclasses with renowned violinists such as: Yair Kless, Petru Munteanu, Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Tomasz Tomaszewski, Piotr Pławner, Ariane Mathäus, Walentyna Jakubowska. She also participated in 3rd edition of Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra Academy during 2014/2015 artistic season, where she studied and polished her orchestral skills.

 Justyna is a laureate of many violin competitions. Her most important awards include: 2nd prize in the 17th Concorso Internazionale „Vincenzo Scaramuzza” in Crotone, Italy (2014), 1st prize in the International Festival of Music in Trzęsacz, Poland (2007) in duo with guitarist Katarzyna Milczarek, 1st prize in the 1st Competition of Young Violinists in Nysa, Poland (2004) and distinction in the 1st International Young Violinists Meetings in Płock, Poland (2003).

She was awarded scholarships, such as the Scholarship for Learning Achievements granted by the Polish Prime Minister (2009/2010) and the Scholarship of the Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education (2014/2015).

During the years 2015-2018 she worked as a tutti violinist in Gorzów Wielkopolski Philharmonic Orchestra in Poland. She's been also performing as a guest violinist with many other orchestras such as Sinfonia Varsovia, Collegium F Orchestra, Zielona Góra Philharmonic Orchestra.

Justyna has been playing with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra since 2019. She's also been frequently performing with Icelandic Opera Orchestra and Sinfonia Nord in Akureyri.
