The Iceland Symphony’s beautiful Christmas concerts are always a highly anticipated event, evoking a host of childhood memories infused with the fragrance of newly baked ginger snaps and pine tree cuttings. A medley of Nordic Christmas tunes, classic songs, and all-time favourites, performed by a top-flight group of singers, the Reykjavík Girls’ Choir, and the Litlu Sprotarnir Sign Language Choir. Classical ballet dancers dance to the music of Tchaikovsky, a flute choir and guitar ensemble, and the Reykjanes Music School Bell Choir perform seasonal favourites and set the stage for the holidays. The conductor is Eva Ollikainen. The concerts are also performed in Icelandic Sign Language.
The Iceland Symphony’s Christmas concerts are a holiday festival for the entire family.
