Stephen Hough
British pianist Stephen Hough is one of the most versatile musicians of our time. He has performed in all of the major concert halls around the world and was the first classical musician to receive the coveted MacArthur Fellowship. He has recorded over 50 extremely well-received CDs and is the recipient of eight Gramophone awards. He is also a composer and author and is a professor at the Juilliard School in New York. On this concert, he performs Rachmaninoff's lively Paganini Rhapsody.
Also on the programme are four of Dvořák's Slavonic Dances and Beethoven's driving and zesty Symphony no. 4. Jun Märkl is a leading interpreter of Viennese classics and appears with the Vienna Opera each year.
