On Culture Night in Reykjavík, the Iceland Symphony Orchestra invites guests to a colorful and entertaining concert for the whole family in Harpa. This year's concert will be hosted by the presenters of the hugely popular podcast Fílalag (Appreciate the song), Bergur Ebbi and Snorri Helgason, who will delve into and "appreciate" popular classics by composers such as Mozart, Anna Þorvaldsdóttir, Strauss, Prokofiev, Wagner and more. The Iceland Symphony Orchestra will perform the music, while Bergur Ebbi and Snorri reveal its unexpected connections to our culture and contemporary life with their sharp insight and humor.

Bergur Ebbi has a enjoyed a career as a writer, stand-up comedian and lecturer while Snorri Helgason has worked as a musician for fifteen years, with numerous solo albums and theater projects to his credit. Together, they have been producing the Fílalag podcast since 2014, with nearly 300 episodes accumulating almost a million streams. They have performed on stage at the Reykjavík City Theatre (Borgarleikhús) with shows based on the podcast and have featured episodes about Icelandic pop songs on National television. Last year, they performed with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra for a sold-out concert.

Admission is free; tickets can be booked at sinfonia.is and Harpa ticket office on the day of the concert from 10:00 AM. Everyone is welcome.

The concert duration is about an hour.
