On Reykjavík Culture Night, the Iceland Symphony Orchestra invites audiences to enjoy a lively and vibrant concert for the whole family. This time it is musician and comedian Vigdís Hafliðadóttir who leads the audience through the uncharted waters of classical music and tells of composers and pieces close to her heart.
The programme features popular favourites designed to bewitch young and old alike, including Mozart's Overture to the Magic Flute, Brahms's Hungarian Dances, Schumann's Scenes from Childhood, and a fiery tango by Jacob Gade.
And guests will be serenaded by Vigdís herself, who has garnered praise for her beautiful singing voice and captivating stage presence, both as a solo artist and as a member of the band Flott.
Admission is free. Guests may obtain tickets online at sinfonia.is and at the Harpa ticket office from 11:00 hrs. onwards on the day of the performance.
All are welcome as long as space is available.
