Soraya Nayyar

Soraya Nayyar is a British-Polish percussionist who completed her studies at the Universität der Künste Berlin. She serves as Principal Timpanist of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and has previously performed with the Beethoven Orchester Bonn, Komische Oper Berlin, Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin, and Staatsoper Hannover. An active chamber musician, she has appeared with Caput, Kammersveit Reykjavíkur, and Elja Ensemble, and has founded her own concert series, The Chamber Express.
