Harpa Ósk Björnsdóttir
Soprano
Harpa Ósk Björnsdóttir is an Icelandic soprano based in Basel, Switzerland, and a member of Theater Basel's OperAvenir ensemble since 2024. In the 2025/26 season she performed roles including Pamina in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte and the soprano solo in Orff's Carmina Burana with the Sinfonieorchester Basel. Recent appearances include Woglinde in Wagner's Götterdämmerung at Bühnen Bern, Zanaida with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and performances at Oper Leipzig with the Gewandhausorchester and at Oper Halle with the Staatskapelle Halle. She has appeared frequently with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and performs regularly with the Icelandic Baroque ensemble Brák. She studied at the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding in Munich and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in Leipzig.
