Hanna Dóra Sturludóttir

Mezzo-soprano Hanna Dóra Sturludóttir has for many years been one of Iceland's foremost singers, performing opera roles both at home and abroad, most recently as Madame de Croissy in Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmélites at the opera in Saarbrücken. She received the Gelsenkirchener Theaterpreis for her role in Kaija Saariaho's Innocence, and has won the Icelandic Music Awards for Singer of the Year in the Classical and Contemporary Music category twice - first in 2014 for the role of Eboli in Don Carlo, and again in 2026.

Hanna Dóra has performed as a soloist with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra on numerous occasions throughout her career, and in the 2026/27 season she takes part in a performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony on 8-9 October under the baton of Edward Gardner.
