Eggert Reginn Kjartansson

The Icelandic tenor Eggert Reginn Kjartansson began his vocal studies at the Reykjavík College of Music in 2007 and later continued his studies at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien, graduating in 2018. In Vienna, he took part in numerous opera and operetta productions and toured Austria and Germany as Baron Koloman Zsupán in Kálmán's Gräfin Mariza.
Eggert has sung in works including Handel's Messiah, Bach's Magnificat and Mass in B minor, and Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. He is one of the founders of Kammeróperan and has sung roles there in Così fan tutte, Hansel and Gretel, Le nozze di Figaro and Carmen. Eggert has appeared once with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, in Our Classics in 2025.
This season, Eggert will appear with soprano Harpa Ósk Halldórsdóttir in the orchestra's annual Vienna Concerts, conducted by Christoph Koncz.
