Christoph Koncz

Christoph Koncz is an Austrian-Hungarian conductor who served as principal second violin of the Vienna Philharmonic for over fifteen years before turning to conducting. He is Music Director of the Orchestre National de Mulhouse, Chief Conductor of the Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss am Rhein, and has been appointed Chief Conductor of the Bruckner Orchester Linz from 2027. He appears regularly with the London Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, Staatskapelle Dresden, and Cleveland Orchestra. As a child, Koncz gained worldwide fame at the age of nine for his role in the film The Red Violin.
