Bass

Alexander Roslavets is a Russian bass who graduated from the St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in 2014 and went on to join the Young Artist Program of the Bolshoi Theatre. He has been a member of the Hamburg State Opera ensemble since 2016, where his roles have included Sarastro, Leporello, and Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor. He has since performed at the world's leading opera houses, including La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, and the Glyndebourne Festival. Recent and upcoming highlights include Boris Godunov at the Opéra de Paris and the Royal Opera House, and Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District at La Scala.

In the 2026/27 season Alexander Roslavets makes his debut with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, singing in Shostakovich's Symphony No. 13 Babi Yar under the baton of Andris Poga.
