Iceland Symphony Youth Orchestra performs Sibelius
Iceland Symphony Youth Orchestra performs Symphony No. 2 by Jean Sibelius next Sunday at 5 pm in Eldborg Hall in Harpa. Eva Ollikainen, Iceland Symphony Orchestra's Chief Conductor and Artistic Director conducts the musicians of the future in their first semi-professional stage performance with an orchestra.
The Iceland Symphony Youth Orchestra was founded in 2009 and celebrated its 10th anniversary performing Beethoven's Ninth Symphony in Harpa in September 2020.
Members in the Iceland Symphony work actively with the youth orchestra, sharing their experience and expertise.
Eliza Reid, the First Lady of Iceland, is the patron of the Youth Orchestra.
