The Iceland Symphony Orchestra will hold its third Conducting Academy this season. In the Academy young and talented musicians have the opportunity to develop their skills on the podium in front of a symphony orchestra, under the direction of Eva Ollikainen, the ISO's Chief Conductor.
Ten applicants will be invited to participate in the Academy, and then 4-6 will have the opportunity to conduct the Iceland Symphony Orchestra in a concert at the end of the course in February 2023.
This time students will work on Barber‘s Adagio for Strings, Beethoven‘s Symphony no.1 and Mozart‘s Don Giovanni Overture.
