K.óla (Katrín Helga Ólafsdóttir) graduated the summer of 2020 with a BA degree in Somposition from IUA. Her record Allt verður alltílæ (2019) was nominated to the Icelandic Music Awards and got the Kraumur award.

I gave him a book (with only blank pages) is based on the balance of the fixed and the uncertain. Some movements are very stable and others are full of possibilities where the conductor guides the way, kind of like a traffic cop, following some set of rules. The duration of the piece is uncertain and every performance unique depending on the decisions of the conductor.
