Una Torfadóttir has a rare ability to connect love, truth, music, and the day-to-day. Listeners are drawn into Una's unique sound world, which first appeared on the Icelandic music scene in 2022 when she released the album Flækt og týnd og einmanna (Caught and lost and lonely). Since then, one hit after another has gained enormous popularity, including songs like Fyrrverandi (Ex), Þú ert stormur (You are a storm), and En (But). This concert will feature Una and the ISO on stage together, performing many of her most beloved tunes along with new compositions due to be released on her forthcoming album. The programme will also include some of Una's favourite songs that have followed her throughout her life.
Una Torfa is a 23-year-old singer, instrumentalist, lyricist, and songwriter, known for the humanity in her lyrics and her catchy melodies. She was awarded the Kraumur Music Award for her album Flækt og týnd og einmanna. She was also nominated for Newcomer of the Year at the 2023 Listeners' Awards and, in the same year, was named Singer of the Year at the Icelandic Music Awards in the category of “pop, rock, hip hop, and electronic” music. This year she is once again nominated for Singer of the Year and Performer of the Year in the same category.
