The Iceland Symphony Orchestra's Christmas concerts have been enormously popular among listeners of all ages. These festive family concerts present holiday favourites alongside classic Christmas stories and unforgettable orchestral music, sure to bring Christmas cheer to one and all. Young musicians, ballet dancers, and soloists, along with the Reykjavík Girls' Choir, Páll Óskar, Jóhanna Guðrún, and Kolbrún Vökudóttir serve the music on a Yuletide platter.
Maximus Musicus, the musical mouse, will make an appearance and ask the orchestra to play his favourite Christmas song, leading the whole audience in a sing-along. Barbara the Clown helps concertgoers get into the holiday spirit with her inimitable introductions, assisted by a sign language interpreter. The Reykjanesbær Music School Bell Choir performs carols before and after the concert in Hörpuhorn.
A concert for the Christmas child in all of us.
