The Iceland Symphony’s Children’s Hour concerts focus on a close and comfortable relationship between listeners and the orchestra, with light and alluring music for the youngest audiences. The Children’s Hour programmes are wildly popular, providing genuine quality time and a perfect prelude to a lovely day. The concerts are roughly half an hour long and are led by the ISO’s concertmasters.

This first Children’s Hour concert of the year will feature beautiful classical pieces together with folk music and other songs. Among the pieces on the programme are favourites by Beethoven — the ever-popular Für Elise, for instance — and Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik, one of the best-known classical works of all time.

Admission is free.
