Managing Director Arna Kristín Einarsdóttir's contract extended for four years

The executive board of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra has extended the orchestra's contract with Arna Kristín Einarsdóttir, the ISO's Managing Director, for another four years, effective September 1st.

Ms. Einarsdóttir has held the position of Managing Director since 2013, but she had previously been the orchestra's Concerts Director since 2007. Ms. Einarsdóttir holds a master's degree in cultural and educational management from Bifröst University in Iceland, a soloist's diploma from the Reykjavík College of Music, and university degrees in flute performance from Indiana University, Bloomington, and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
