Children's Hour at the Symphony creates a cosy atmosphere and intimacy with the orchestra as they play a light and playful programme for the very youngest listeners and their families. The Children's Hour concerts have been immensely popular with young listeners of all ages and are a chance to spend some quality time together at the start of a lovely day. The programme is around thirty minutes in length and will be led by Ragnheiður Ingunn Jóhannsdóttir. Each piece is given an engaging introduction so as to bring the world of music even more vividly to life for the children and their parents.

Familiar songs and classical jewels in symphonic guise will adorn the programme, creating a wonderful morning for all to enjoy. Maximus Musicus, the musical mouse, will make his regular appearance at the Children's Hour. Admission is free and listeners are advised to bring cushions on which to sit. The Children's Hour returns to Flói in the spring on Saturday, 20 April 2024 at 11:30 hrs.
