The 40th Nordic Orchestra Conference

The Iceland Symphony Orchestra hosts the 40th Nordic Orchestra Conference. The conference will take place in the Reykjavík Concert and Conference Hall, Harpa, on 14th-16th of September 2016.
This years theme will be "Looking forward" lead by keynote speakers Deborah Borda and Chad Smith from the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Deborah Borda is admired for her work with the LA Philharmonic and is without a doubt one of the most influential, successful and forward thinking leader of the orchestra world today. Chad Smith is the Chief Operating Officer for the Los Angeles Philharmonic and as such is responsible for the artistic oversight and coordination of the orchestra's programming, production and strategic planning.
