Bedroom Comunity at Iceland Airwaves

Bedroom Community is an Icelandic record label/collective formed in 2006 by Valgeir Sigurðsson, with Nico Muhly and Ben Frost. Later additions to the intimate roster have been Sam Amidon, Daníel Bjarnason, Puzzle Muteson, Paul Corley, Nadia Sirota, James McVinnie, Emily Hall and Jodie Landau. Like-minded, yet diverse individuals from different corners of the globe all creatively orbit around an inconspicuous building and its inhabitants on the outskirts of Reykjavík – Greenhouse Studios – where the music is mostly created.

This 10-year anniversary concert features the Iceland Symphony Orchestra in orchestral works by Nico Muhly, Daníel Bjarnason, Valgeir Sigurðsson, and Ben Frost, as well as other contributions by leading artists of the collective, such as Jodie Landau, Nadia Sirota, Emily Hall, Puzzle Muteson, and Paul Corley. Be prepared for an exciting fusion of styles and genres, under the baton of new-music specialist André de Ridder.
